- Be exact. – Decide exactly what it is you want to change. Write it down and place your goal in prominent places that you visit each day—your bathroom mirror, the refrigerator, kitchen cupboards, your computer.
- Reward yourself. – Reaching a goal is more fun when you get a reward for your efforts. What is it that you would like—that you would work hard to get? When you reach your goal, you can reward yourself with that item or experience.
- Be consistent. – Do not give yourself any leeway. You need to stick with the program and reinforce your new behavior. No going back to your old behaviors, even once!
- Change your thinking. – When you change your thought patterns, you change your reactions to situations and you no longer desire your bad habit. Using hypnosis is a proven way to do this, and it gives you permanent results.
- Get support. – Tell friends and family about your new program. Get them to offer you support and you will be more likely to succeed.
- Keep it simple. – Many people make the mistake of trying to do a total makeover of their lives. You will be much more successful if you only work on one thing at a time!
